Timezone Time Converter
Convert a local time from one timezone into another. Defaults to GMT / UTC.
Enter the date and time you have, select the timezone that time belongs to, then choose the timezone you want to convert into.
Use the swap button when you want to reverse the direction. Use current time to quickly compare the time right now across zones.
If a meeting is scheduled for 9:00 AM GMT, select 9:00 AM with GMT / UTC as the source timezone, then choose Eastern Time to see the matching local time for New York or Toronto.
What is a timezone converter used for?
A timezone converter helps you translate a local clock time in one region into the matching time in another region. It is useful for meetings, launches, deadlines, support shifts, and travel planning.
Does this handle daylight saving time?
Yes. The converter uses your browser Intl timezone data, which accounts for daylight saving rules for supported IANA timezones.
Why does the default timezone show GMT?
GMT / UTC is a neutral reference point used by servers, APIs, logs, and global schedules. Starting there avoids accidental local timezone assumptions.
Is my time data private?
Yes. The conversion runs locally in your browser and does not send the date or timezone values to a server.
